"All that passes" Tess Daniel / Madlen Strange in concert

An intimate evening of songs with Berlin-based singer-songwriters Tess Daniel and Madlen Strange. 

Tess Daniel ist eine holländische Singer-Songwriterin, die aktuell in Berlin lebt. Sie veröffentlichte ihre erste Single “Restless Heart” im April 21 und spielte seitdem in verschiedenen Orten in Deutschland und den Niederlanden. Ihre warme, einmalige Stimme erinnert an Tracy Chapman, ihr Songwriting an Steve Nicks und Kate Bush. Mit ihrer Musik wirft sie einen Blick auf Dinge, die knapp unter der Oberfläche liegen, dorthin, wo Altes fliegen lernt und wieder jung wird. “Musik, die eine lange Zeit gereift ist … mit dem alten Soul-Feeling … eine Songwriterin mit dem Blick einer Künstlerin (Indietop39).

About Tess Daniel 

Tess Daniel is a Dutch singer and songwriter based in Berlin, Germany. She released her debut single “Restless Heart” in April 2021 and has been performing at venues all over Germany and the Netherlands ever since. Her deep, unique voice reminds of Tracy Chapman, her songwriting of Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush. With her music, she sheds compassionate light on things that lay just below the surface, getting to that place where old things can float to become young again.

Madlen Strange, geboren in der ehemaligen DDR sammelt seit Jahren Repertoire aus Deutschland, Südosteuropa und tritt in verschiedenen Ensembles in Europa auf (Hai La Hora Orchestra, Bulgarian Voices Berlin, Gurgulitza, Duo Stange & Glucksmann).

Unter dem Pseudonym Madlen StRange veröffentlichte sie 2022 “This Too Shall Pass” und “Mirage”, zwei Singles, die für den Facettenreichtum in ihrer Musik stehen. Mit dem Drang, neue Wege und Emotionen zu erforschen, wechseln ihre Begleitinstrumente (Gitarre, Ukulele, Klavier, Shruti Box, Looper) was ihre Konzerte zu einer Reise werden lässt, von der jedesmal anders und neu erzählt wird.

About Madlen Strange 

Madlen Strange, born and raised in former GDR, has been collecting her repertoire from Germany and South-East Europe for many years and performs solo and with various ensembles throughout Europe (Hai La Hora Orchestra, Bulgarian Voices Berlin, Gurgulitza, Duo Stange & Glucksmann).

She has performed her original songs under the Semi-Pseudo "Madlen StRange”. 2022 she released her Singles “This Too Shall Pass” and “Mirage” that show 2 of the many facets of her work. Always with the urge to discover new things, she varies the instruments to accompany herself (guitar, ukulele, shruti box, piano or looper) and creates a unique moment every time she performs them.
